Cashmere

We love the pleasure of a timeless cashmere knitwear piece that becomes softer and more beautiful the more you wear it.
The extraordinary properties of lightness, softness and temperature adjustment - with a natural insulating power of up to 10 % higher than wool - make cashmere perfect for any season.

Cashmere is a fine natural fibre obtained by combing the coat of the Capra Hircus Laniger (commonly known as a goat) which lives in a habitat where there are significant fluctuations in temperature between day and night, causing the development of a finer, more prized undercoat known as down. The best quality of this noble fibre, found in several areas in China and Mongolia, is selected and then processed in Italy to become a precious yarn, using only sustainable and ethical leading-edge technology.

Our collection is knitted in Italy’s Umbria region that boasts the most talented cashmere artisans whose knowledge and experience in knitwear is part of their unique heritage. Each cashmere or cashmere and silk piece is made to order with a view to avoid excess production.

Cashmere Care

You are often tempted to take your cashmere knitwear to the dry cleaners but washing cashmere or wool softens the fibre as long as you follow the instructions carefully:

HAND WASH

  1. Let your cashmere soak in cold water for 20 minutes maximum using a suitable soft detergent for wool or cashmere. Gently scrub the underarms and the tips of the sleeves (as well as any stains there may be).

  2. Quickly hand-dry the cashmere knit without wringing it too much and lay it on a towel.

  3. Roll the towel up by trapping the knit inside and let it get rid of the remaining water.

  4. Leave it to dry flat, away from light and heat.

MACHINE WASH

  1. Slip your cashmere knit in a laundry bag (such as a pillow case, or a special washing bag) to avoid any damage from the drum.

  2. Add soap suitable for cashmere. We recommend using special wool/cashmere detergent.

  3. Set preferably a delicate, cold-wash or 30°C max wool program, with a no wringing cycle or max 400 spin speed.

  4. Lay your cashmere knit flat on a towel, away from any light or heat source

  • Iron it at a low temperature on the wrong side and put lots of steam. The best method is to slip a wet cloth between your iron and your knit.

  • Keep your cashmere folded and not hung to maintain its shape.
